NEW LAWN QUESTIONS.
Answers to common questions about preparation, installation and caring for your new sod.
What is included with sod installation?
The exact scope depends on your property. Projects can include existing lawn removal, rough grading, topsoil installation, final grading and fresh sod installation. Your estimate will outline what is included for your specific project.
Do you remove the existing lawn first?
Yes. Existing sod and unwanted lawn material can be removed before the new lawn is installed. Some properties may require more preparation depending on the condition and elevation of the yard.
Do I need new topsoil before installing sod?
Not every property requires additional topsoil. We look at the existing soil, grade and overall condition of the lawn area to determine whether new soil is recommended.
How long does a sod installation take?
Smaller residential projects can often be completed quickly, while larger properties or projects requiring removal, soil and extensive grading may take longer. Scheduling and project duration depend on the scope of work and site conditions.
When can I walk on my new sod?
Foot traffic should be kept to a minimum while the sod establishes. Avoid heavy use until the roots have started bonding with the soil below.
How often should new sod be watered?
New sod needs consistent moisture while establishing. Watering requirements can change depending on temperature, rainfall and site conditions. It is the property owner's responsibility to keep the new lawn adequately watered after installation.
SOD & MATERIAL DELIVERY.
Information about ordering sod, delivery areas and landscape material deliveries.
Can I order sod without installation?
Yes. Sod can be ordered separately for delivery or eligible pickup. You can place a sod order directly through our online store.
How much sod is on one pallet?
One full pallet contains 70 rolls of sod. Each roll covers approximately 10 square feet, giving you roughly 700 square feet per full pallet.
How are delivery fees calculated?
Delivery fees depend on the delivery area, product type and number of required loads. Your available delivery options and applicable charges are calculated during checkout.
Can sod and bulk materials be delivered together?
Sod and bulk landscape materials may require separate truck loads depending on the products ordered. When separate loads are required, separate delivery charges may apply.
Do you offer sod pickup?
Pickup may be available for eligible sod orders. The available fulfillment options will be shown during checkout based on the products in your cart.
PLANNING YOUR PROJECT.
What to expect when requesting an estimate and scheduling landscaping work.
How do I request an estimate?
Use our online estimate request form and provide as much information as possible about your project. Photos, approximate square footage, access information and project details help us assess the work accurately.
Are estimates final prices?
Estimates are based on the information and scope provided. Pricing may change if site conditions, quantities or the requested scope of work change.
Do you require a deposit?
Projects may require a deposit before materials are ordered or work is scheduled. Deposit and payment requirements will be outlined with your estimate or agreement.
How far in advance should I book?
Availability changes throughout the season. Booking earlier is recommended during busy spring and summer periods, especially for larger lawn and landscaping projects.
Does weather affect scheduling?
Yes. Heavy rain, saturated ground, extreme weather or unsuitable site conditions can affect landscaping and delivery schedules.
